There are many people who, for whatever reason, are unable to attend a residential programme but still feel the need for training. For this reason Mattersey Hall offers several levels of discipleship and higher education.
Our mission is to provide professional, cost-effective, flexible and accessible training to meet the needs of individuals and local churches. We work in conjunction with AoG colleges and universities throughout the world. In particular, we are delighted to offer courses produced by Global University, Springfield, Missouri, the specialist Distance Learning University of Assemblies of God in the USA, as well as our own. Together our institutions provide inspirational training materials which can help you deepen your knowledge of the scriptures and become more effective in your service for the Lord.
Our Distance Learning Department offers a number of different study options for everyone who desires in-depth study in the areas of the Bible, Theology and principles of church leadership, from the most basic to college and degree levels. Our purpose is to prepare men and women for ministry in the area they are passionate about by giving a firm foundation in doctrine and biblical knowledge.
Our goal is to assist students in loving and serving God through the learning and application of His Word for their lives and the lives of others. A person with experience, wisdom and solid academic qualifications in a particular subject has prepared each course. The subjects were carefully selected to reflect the needs of today’s generation. Each course has been assigned competent and dedicated tutors ready to assist students electronically. The tutors have been chosen for their academic training and church leadership experience (all of them have or are currently serving in ministry positions in the United Kingdom).
If you simply want to know more about God’s word or Pentecostal doctrine but can’t take time to go away to a residential college, then Distance Learning may be for you!

The Christian Life courses are independent study texts with an Instructor’s Guide for each of the courses. They are designed to be studied both independently and in group sessions. The Christian Life courses comprise 18 books that are designed to draw each believer into a closer relationship with God. Each course contains self-examination reviews (tests) that are graded. This series is conversational in language style and is best suited for short-term study or the discipleship of new believers within a local church context. Instructor’s guides are available for all of these courses. Further information (Adobe Acrobat pdf) is available here, or can be provided to you on request.
The following modules are available:

Mattersey Hall seeks to equip the whole church for service, not just a professional segment. The Christian Service Programme follows the biblical pattern of training the people for God’s work. Every member of the local church should be involved in the ministry of their church in some way, according to the gifts that they possess. These courses encourage all believers to become involved in ministry. The eighteen courses in the Christian Service Program will provide a good foundation for anyone interested in
